Pound, Roscoe
(1870-1964) Паунд, Роско
Юрист, педагог. Профессор права в Гарвардском университете [Harvard University] в 1910-37. В 1916-36 был деканом юридического факультета (Школы права) [Harvard Law School]. Выступал за большую гибкость закона, за необходимость для юриспруденции адаптироваться к изменению социально-экономических условий жизни общества. Автор многочисленных трудов по истории юриспруденции и теории права, среди которых: "Дух общего права" ["The Spirit of Common Law"] (1921) - наиболее известная из его книг, "Уголовное правосудие в Америке" ["Criminal Justice in America"] (1930), "Административное право, его развитие, процессуальность и значение" ["Administrative Law, Its Growth, Procedure and Significance"] (1942), "Правосудие по закону" ["Justice According to the Law"] (1951), "Юриспруденция" ["Jurisprudence"] в 5 томах (1959) и др.
